You only need a couple of ingredrients to create this classic dish

Makes 2-3 servings


  • 50g pine nuts (or almonds)

  • 80g basil

  • 50g parmesan (grated)

  • 150 ml extra virgin olive oil

  • seasalt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat a small pan over a low heat and then pour in the pine nuts or almonds and roast until golden. Then put to the side until cooled off.

  2. Put pine nuts (or almonds), basil, parmesan, olive oil in a food processor and process until smooth. Season with sea salt and pepper.

  3. Serve with your favourite pasta.

  4. Decorate with roasted pine nuts (or almond flakes), grated parmesan, fresh basil and a drizzle olive oil.
